Glasgow Caledonian University George Moore Building
Morris & Spottiswood completed a laboratory fitout project at Glasgow Caledonian University. This was in conjunction with our in-house division ASSAB Laboratory Furniture where we refurbished the chemistry and engineering teaching facilities located on the 7th floor of the George Moore Building.
Works included:
*Dismantling and removing the existing laboratory fitments, complete with all associated servicves and drainage
*Removal of existing finishings and fixtures
*Removal of all other floor, wall, and ceiling finishings
*Isolation and removal of all M&E services installations (with the exception of live services feeding other floors and part of the building, common IT cabling etc).
*The supply of new laboratory furniture
*The installation of new benching The installation of a new vacuum system,
*The replacement of bases to fume cupbooards
*New floor coverings
*New suspended ceilings
*Decoration throughout
* New M&E services throughout involving electrical works, ventilation works, lighting, small power, IT cabling, and smoke & fire detection
