Credential Holdings - Templeton Centre

Credential Holdings chose Morris & Spottiswood as an experienced contractor to undertake refurbishment works to the Templeton Centre, a listed building at Glasgow Green.

This iconic, historical building was originally designed as a carpet mill in 1889 and features an unusual combination of materials – red sandstone, coloured brick and ceramic mosaic. Credential Holdings wanted to create a number of open plan office spaces for their clients within this building.

On the ground floor we dismantled the existing façade and extended the entrance area to the building, which incorporated brickwork, curtain walling and a new glass front and entrance box, together with a flat roof and circular canopy. We also created five separate units, with their own individual entrances.

The upper floors were both empty shells and our remit was to transform them into a simplistic, open plan office location. This included the installation of new toilet accommodation, new gas central heating system, new lighting, provision of power points, suspended ceilings, raised access floors and decoration throughout.
