Health & Safety

Here at Morris & Spottiswood, we have a team of seven health & safety professionals, overseeing all our activities and reinforcing our key message – prevention is better than cure.

We make an exceptional investment in health & safety, benefiting both our internal and external clients. We firmly believe that every individual related to a project is directly responsible for preventing accidents from happening – we achieve this through rigorous training and an in-depth health & safety communication programme.

As testament to our success, our accident statistics are substantially below average; and to condense our approach in achieving these results and turning words into actions, we believe in the “3 c’s” of health & safety:

• Communication – All legislative and company policy needs to be displayed and emphasised as prime importance in order to be aware of hazards concerning their day-to-day operations

• Collaboration – Health & safety is a team effort, it does not start and stop at the health & safety department, but centres around the actions and attitude of the project team at hand

• Consistency – By upholding our health & safety values, we reassure the client that every project receives the same dedicated resources, approach and commitment
