Title: Wavertree, Liverpool
The brief for this project was to establish a fresh and innovative approach to the planning and design of a customer contact centre environment within the Liverpool Contact Centre at Dale House. The aim of the project was to increase the office occupancy by 10% from 1130 to 1240.
Works included refurbishment of the main entrance area & reception, common areas, main office spaces, meeting rooms, restaurant and break out areas and a “street” area used for sales pitches and external courtyard works.
The scope of works was to form new visitor entrance and improved reception including all associated structural works, façade works, access routes and landscaping. Full refurbishment of all office areas with new internal partitioning, ceilings and floor finishes throughout. Works also included formation of meeting rooms, training suites, ancillary accommodation areas including full M&E interface, New workstations throughout to include team and manager suites, filing and coat storage units and wonderwall flexible dividing screens.
Mechanical & Electrical Works undertaken included heating, ventilation, lighting, new pipework, renewal of all WC facilities, fire Alarms, Security systems, New fan coil installations, new UPs installations and IT and data works associated with the office moves.
All works were undertaken within a live environment and we were highly successful at ensuring safety and minimising disruption to staff undertaking their daily operations. Effective communication from our site management team ensured all parties were aware of “what was happening and when”.
This project has been a great example of partnership working- Client, Design Team and key supply chain partners joined with Morris & Spottiswood to ensure a safe, high quality project which was both on time and budget. Co-operation amongst all parties has been key to the project’s success. The client has been delighted with the outcome of their new concept design. From the very first phase of this project, the quality of delivery was excellent, with the project handed over defect free – from completion of the very first phase.
“I was at the Wavertree site on Wednesday of this week and had time to walk the site and review the works in progress. The quality of the works being completed is just excellent, and together with professional and well managed execution, makes it a pleasure to work with your team and with special reference to Simon and Colin. The project is just going to look fantastic when completed and the Courtyard Pods and new Reception extension will be the icing on the cake following the main blocks which are largely complete”.
