Business Unit Head, Edinburgh

- As Business Unit Head, you will not only be required to manage the usual operations of the business unit but also best practice.
- You will be the first point of contact if the contract team have any day to day issues. The role would suit a proactive forward thinker as you will constantly be required to think on your feet and identify ways to seek continual improvement in all operational processes.
- Having the technical construction know-how is a given, specifically within fitout and refurbishment contracts. It is having the other qualities which will determine who is the right person for the job.
- Through guidance, support and the development of quality managers, you will promote successful and motivated operational teams. You will be personable and quality focused with an appreciation of the importance of developing and maintaining good working relationships with Clients and Key Consultants.
- Vitally important, therefore, is for you to be able to demonstrate sound leadership and people management skills, combined with astute commercial awareness and an excellent approach to client service.
- Candidates should have a sound understanding of the industry with excellent commercial awareness of how to maximise opportunities and profitability, and the ability to take the business forward to a unified and successful future.
- This is a senior management post and carries the remuneration package you would expect for such a level. This includes an attractive salary, car allowance, non-contributory pension plus 33 days holiday (25 annual plus 8 public).

Quantity Surveyor, Edinburgh

- This role will support the Fitout Business Unit in Edinburgh and will be responsible for the management of all commercial and contractual issues of each project, keeping contracts within budget.
- Main duties will include invoicing, re-measurements, pricing and month end accounting.
- Previous experience in interior fitout contracts is essential. A surveying degree/diploma or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
A full UK driving licence is required for all positions. A CSCS card is desirable.
