Our philosophy reaches out to our local communities through charitable work, sponsorships and refurbishment programmes.
From engaging with young people to charity skydiving we invest as much as we can in the communities in which we work. Morris & Spottiswood took part in “The Ivor Good Site” Hoarding Competition as part of the Considerate Constructors Scheme at the Barclay’s site at Wavertree Liverpool.
The children arrived on site around 10am through a sign in the daily signing in book and sit an M&S site induction with a little spin from the site team to make it enjoyable. Each child was given a hi-vis vest and a M&S H&S “Z” card to take away with them. The day was broken up into sessions with the children in three groups of ten. The first group had an escorted tour from Barclay’s staff around the internal building showing the children the different blocks i.e. before M&S started our works, during the works (looking in threw the window from the outside off-course) and then a tour of Block A the finished product. The second and third groups started the art work and the third had a Q and A session with the site team on construction.
The children had an absolute fantastic day at Wavertree and we felt they took an awful lot away with them from the visit.
