As a company Morris & Spottiswood have a long track record of helping people in the communities in which we work. However, we also get involved further afield as our work with Orkidstudio shows.

Founded in 2008, Orkidstudio is a humanitarian design organisation whose focus is to benefit children and communities worldwide through innovative architecture and construction. Following a hugely successful project in Nakuru, Kenya, we have been supporting a second Orkidstudio project in Cambodia. The Goodwill Centre in Sihanoukville, Cambodia was set up in 2004, where most local families live in tin shacks with no access to running water. The centre is dedicated to helping to alleviate this poverty, focusing on education and increasing opportunities by supporting children and adults across the community.

During 2015, Morris & Spottiswood supported Orkidstudio by paying the costs of the local labour employed in this three month refurbishment project. To see more of the worthwhile work Orkidstudio are currently undertaking, visit https://orkidstudio.co.uk.
