This week we’re exceptionally proud to be celebrating our women, not only for International Women’s Day but for Women in Construction Week. The theme for International Women’s Day this year is #InspireInclusion born from the idea that when we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world.
As a group we work hard to ensure the individual needs, interests and aspirations of each and every employee to ensure they feel valued and included. This is particularly important in attracting women to the construction industry - the key is being agile and flexible in our approach to make it more accessible. How do we do this? By recruiting, retaining and developing female talent, supporting women into leadership roles, providing access to quality education and training, and by designing and building an infrastructure to support through family friendly policies and offering hybrid and flexible working options.
Our continued success at growing the number of women across our group year on year proves our dedication to creating an inclusive and diverse environment whereby each and every one of our staff members can thrive.
Our women work in a variety of roles within Quantity Surveying, Contract and Site Management, Estimating, Human Resources, Finance, IT, HSQE, Business Development, Marketing, Proposals and Administration, and we also have female recruits in apprentice, trainee and graduate positions, as well as on the Board.
