Morris and Spottiswood pride ourselves on developing and supporting people to achieve their full potential.

We are committed to working in partnership with the neighbouring communities, supporting local schools, offering work placements and apprenticeships to local people.

Recently we have been working closely with Govan High School; assisting them in developing their Pre-Apprenticeship Programme.

We currently employ 31 apprentices across a variety of trades including; plumbers, joiners, electricians and painters. This month one of our students, Kenny Rowand, won Glasgow Clyde College Engineering and Built Environment Apprentice of the Year. Kenny received this for carpentry and joinery. His lecturer, Danny Shearer said “He demonstrated over his 1st year a good practical ability and awareness relating to all Carpentry & Joinery topics covered in that period”.

We also recently employed 6 new trainees in QS, Estimating and Engineering roles, and are delighted to have supported several school work experience placements in the last few months.

One of our most recent success stories is Sean Glennon. Sean undertook a work placement as a painting trainee and we were so impressed with his attitude and ability we offered him position as an apprentice painter.
