We carried out the refurbishment of the street food and bar area within the EUSA Kings Bridge Buildings House to create a new stand-alone coffee shop for the building’s users. This project required the delivery of a unique interior design that featured the extensive use of recycled materials. The desired style was created by installing vibrant pillars constructed from reclaimed timber that had originated from Indonesian fishing boats.
The works were carried out within an occupied building, so it was important to avoid any disruption. This was done by undertaking power shutdowns outside working hours and by carrying out the refurbishment in phases, with phase one comprising of the work on the coffee shop, and phase two the work on the street food area.
The project included taking down and installing flooring, bespoke joinery, ceilings, and partitions. Specialised M&E work included BMS, telecoms, fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarm and lighting. We also installed all necessary catering equipment, carried out all decoration works and finishes and created a bespoke bar made from tiles chosen to create a 3D effect.
