Morris & Spottiswood, a leading provider of fitout, refurbishment, retrofit and construction services, has completed significant refrigeration upgrade projects for food retailer Morrisons as part of an extensive framework agreement.

The projects represent the latest milestone in a comprehensive programme of works being delivered by the national operator across the length and breadth of the country. Having already completed successful upgrades in Crediton, Exeter, Gainsborough, Gloucester, Kettering, Lincolnshire and Sunderland, Morris & Spottiswood is scheduled to complete a further project in Carlisle before the end of the year.

The contract involved upgrading refrigeration assets throughout each store, with Morris & Spottiswood operating as main contractor and overseeing specialist refrigeration subcontractors. The scope also included the installation of rooftop refrigeration plant alongside necessary supporting roof works.

The projects mark a significant development in the relationship between the two companies, with Morris & Spottiswood being appointed to Morrisons' updated framework agreement last year.
