Morris & Spottiswood have successfully delivered a £1.75 million makeover for River Clyde Homes that includes the creation of an energy saving biomass heating system. The completion of the project at Cartsdyke Apartments in Greenock, means that heating and hot water for 49 flats and all communal areas is provided by a 210kw wood-pellet burning biomass system.

All the work that has been carried out over the year-long project has been undertaken with one major aim - to provide high quality energy efficient measures for all the flats.

Graham McDowall, director at River Clyde Homes stated: ”The refurbishment of Cartsdyke Court has many benefits for the local community. It has been designated as Silver Living accommodation for those aged over 60 in response to the changing demographics of Inverclyde. These 2 bedroom homes have been refurbished to a high standard, the finish of the entrance and landing spaces is magnificent and sets a new standard.”
