Women In Construction 2023

This week we’re exceptionally proud to be celebrating our women, not only for International Women’s Day but for Women in Construction Week. Our continued success at growing the number of women across our group by 10% year on year proves our dedication to creating an inclusive and diverse environment whereby each and every one of our staff members can thrive. We place the highest priority on equality and continue to champion the role of women in construction having seen an increase in our employment of women in senior roles - currently 30% of women across the group are in management positions.

How are we doing this? Through ongoing and new initiatives to drive fundamental change. We are continually improving by diversifying recruitment methods, holding mixed panel interviews and offering hybrid and flexible working options. We have improved our family friendly policies and continue to offer access to training and development across all roles.

Our women work in a variety of roles within Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Human Resources, Finance, IT, HSQE, Business Development, Marketing, Proposals and Administration, and we also have female recruits in apprentice, trainee and graduate positions, as well as on the Board.

This year’s theme for International Women's Day is #EmbraceEquity. So what’s the different between equality and equity? Find out more: Click here
